About STAS

Who Are We

The Specialists Trade Alliance of Singapore was formed with the mission to further develop and improve the standards of conduct and professionalism of the building trade, especially the specialist contractors and suppliers in the building and construction industry.

With over 1,300 companies membership from all our trade associations under our belt, we represent a strong commitment to enhance if not, improve the standards of fair-trading and commerce in our Singapore building and construction industry.

We also regards work safety as one of our main objective.  We work very closely with Workplace Safety and Health Council (WSHCOUNCIL) and Ministry of Manpower (MOM), to promote and enhance high standard of safety practices in our industry by conducting workshop and training activities.  STAS also continuously provides legal workshops and other allied trainings to our members and industry players.

All in all, Specialists Trade Alliance of Singapore has many important and challenges to play in the building and construction industry in Singapore.  With the support of Building and Construction Authority (BCA), we have formerly applied to be a full member of Construction Industry Joint Committee (CIJC).  With the full membership of CIJC, STAS will help to bridge many important and critical sectors of the building and construction industry.  We will also be able to facilitate the flow of ideas, as well as to co-ordinate the activities and directions set by CIJC and the members of STAS respectively.
